12/12/2011: NPSL Delivers the Three 'C's for Fall 2011

Welcome to Year 3 of the NPSL ...
the fastest-growing non-premier youth competitive soccer league under Washington Youth Soccer!

The NPSL has been successful because it provides competitive teams with:

  • Play Coverage Through U18
The NPSL is open to boys and girls competitive teams, ages U11 to U18.  We expect the league to have over 210 teams from eleven associations this season.

  • Family-Friendly Convenience for Local Competition
The NPSL seeks to provide necessary competition at as local a level possible, limiting the travel until necessary.  With the increased team density this league provides, NPSL will deliver equal or shorter average travel commutes to matches than past leagues or alternative venues.

  • Fall Match League
12 matches with home and away games. Fall league play will commence the on September 10th and concludes on December 3rd with Thanksgiving weekend off.

  • Winter Girls High School League
12 matches with home and away games. Winter league play will commence on January 7th and concludes in late March prior to start of Washington Youth Soccer Challenge Cup and State Championship Tournaments.

  • Multiple Competitive Divisions per Age
The NPSL will once again look to establish 2-3 divisions per age/gender in order to optimize like-or comparable competition.  Divisions will incorporate non-RCL Select teams, as well as PDL “C” teams and below (RCL “B” teams allowed with league approval).  Teams outside of   Districts 1 and 2 require approval of their association to participate in the NPSL

  • Promotion and Relegation
Teams will be moved in order to compete at the appropriate level based on their age group, ability and results.

  • League That Qualifies for Entry in WA Youth Soccer State Cups
By participating in this Washington Youth Soccer league, teams will meet the league play requirement for post-league play in Washington Youth Soccer State Championship Tournaments.  NPSL is sanctioned by Washington Youth Soccer.

  • Adheres to WA Youth Soccer League CalendarThe NPSL league calendar aligns with Washington Youth Soccer State, District and PDL leagues, ensuring easy adoption and match scheduling.

  • Most Economical Select League Fees
League fees for NPSL participation are the most economical of select leagues in Washington state, from 50% to 75% lower than alternatives in Washington Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer.  During challenging economic times, teams can put their savings directly nto additional training or tournaments.

The NPSL is a partnership of Washington Youth Soccer District 1 and District 2.

District 1 and District 2 are members of Washington Youth Soccer.

Washington Youth Soccer is a member of US Youth Soccer
