NPSL Announces 5th Year of League Play

The NPSL has been successful because it provides competitive teams with:

  • Play Coverage Through U18
The NPSL is open to boys and girls competitive teams, ages U10 to U18.  In the last year, the league had over 330 teams participating.

  • NEW! NPSL U10 Play Launches in Fall 2013
The NPSL will be hosting U10 teams for Fall 2013 for those clubs interested in higher-level play for this age group.

  • Family-Friendly Convenience for Local Competition
The NPSL seeks to provide necessary competition at as local a level possible, limiting the travel until necessary.  With the increased team density this league provides, NPSL delivers equal or shorter average travel commutes to competitive matches than alternative venues ... giving back to the families some of their valuable weekend time.

  • 12-Match Fall Match League
The NPSL supplies a robust 12-match fall season with home and away games. Fall league play will commence the first weekend after Labor Day and conclude in late November / early December with Thanksgiving weekend off.

  • Winter Girls High School League
The NPSL Winter League is open to interested Girls U15-U18 teams from Districts I, II, III and IV that want to play quality competitive soccer upon conclusion of their high school soccer.  The 12-match league play commences in early December and concludes in late March prior to start of Washington Youth Soccer Challenge and Championship Cups.

  • Spring Developmental League
The NPSL hosts an optional Spring Developmental league for its members, starting in late February and concluding in early April prior to the start of Washington Youth Soccer Challenge and Championship Cups.

  • Multiple Competitive Divisions per Age
The NPSL will once again look to establish 2-3 divisions per age/gender in order to optimize like-or comparable competition.  Divisions will incorporate non-RCL select teams, as well as interested RCL club teams.

  • Promotion and Relegation
Teams will be moved in order to compete at the appropriate level based on their age group, ability and results.

  • Access to Washington Youth Soccer State Cup Competitions
By participating in the Fall or Winter NPSL league offerings of this Washington Youth Soccer-sanctioned league, teams meet the league play requirement for post-league play in Washington Youth Soccer State Cup Tournaments.

  • Adheres to WA Youth Soccer League Calendar
The NPSL league calendar aligns with Washington Youth Soccer State, District and RCL leagues, ensuring easy adoption and match scheduling.

  • Most Economical Select League Fees
The NPSL is structured to provide the greatest value in youth select soccer in Washington State.  With a competitive play venue unmatched in non-premier youth select soccer in Washington, a 100% volunteer-powered delivery model and low travel costs, the NPSL is a great value as it remains vigilant on costs during these challenging economic times.

  • League Governance Member-Driven, Member-Focused
NPSL governance is structured to be run by and for its members, supported by participating associations and clubs.  All participants are invited to be part of the NPSL Steering Committee. By having a democratic leadership group focused exclusively on select-level league play, all decisions are made in the members’ interests and not adversely influenced by other factors.
