NPSL
Leagues

To participate in the North Puget Sound League (NPSL), clubs must be based in the Puget Sound area and members of Washington Youth Soccer (WYS).

There are three to four divisions per age and gender, with division one being most competitive and division four being least competitive. Division four is a great option for new teams making the jump from recreational to competitive levels and tends to play games locally, rather than across the region.

Divisions also are usually determined by geographic location – north and south – to minimize travel time and expenses.

Fall League

NPSL’s action-packed fall season boasts 12 home and away games beginning the weekend after Labor Day and ending in December. U9 and U10 teams play 10 matches in the fall season. Participation in the NPSL fall league satisfies the WYS requirement to compete in State Cup tournaments.

Spring Development League

The NPSL spring development league provides the opportunity to develop players in a less competitive environment than the fall league. Because it’s a developmental experience, the league is offered in a shorter, six-game season from late February through late March or early April.

Registration opens in December for U9 to U14 teams, as well as Boys U15 trapped players (8th graders). To meet eligibility requirements, teams must have participated in the preceding NPSL fall season. Participation does NOT meet the WYS requirement for teams desiring to participate in WYS State Cups.

  • Boys U9-U15 and and Girls U9-U14 select teams

  • 6 matches

  • Saturday matches

  • Fee: $75
