PDA Head Coaches
Meet the head coaches leading the NPSL Player Development Academy teams.

Sean Morris
Throughout his playing and coaching career spanning more than two decades, Sean Morris has experienced the game at the collegiate, professional, and international levels while developing a passion for player development and leadership. Sean played locally for Crossfire Premier Soccer Club and Emerald City Football Club before a four-year career at Seattle University, where he served as team captain. In 2011, he was drafted by Seattle Sounders FC and went on to play professionally for both Seattle Sounders FC and Portland Timbers. Following his MLS career, Sean spent 12 years overseas playing and coaching across New Zealand, Sweden, the Netherlands, Armenia, and Spain, including work within full-time residential academies focused on preparing players for collegiate and professional pathways.
While in Spain, Sean served as Academy Director for FC Malaga City Academy before launching Atletico Estepona FA, which placed three players into professional environments within its first six months. Sean holds a UEFA A License and an MBA in Elite Management earned with distinction, alongside top New Zealand Football youth coaching licenses. Over the past 20 years, he has helped place dozens of players into collegiate soccer and developed 20 professional players, including eight expected to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His coaching philosophy centers on intelligent football, developing technically sound players, and helping players grow both on and off the field.

Joe Lumsden
Joe Lumsden brings more than 34 years of coaching experience across the Puget Sound soccer community. A USSF C Licensed coach, Joe has coached at multiple levels throughout the region, including Premier 1 Tacoma, Washington ODP State programs, and the ODP Regional Pool. He played collegiately at Green River Community College before an injury shifted his focus fully toward coaching and player development.

Throughout his coaching career, Joe has guided teams to multiple State Cup and Founders Cup Regional appearances while winning tournaments across the Puget Sound area. His background includes coaching with F.C. United alongside respected coaches Gerry Gray, Fran O’Brien, and Neil Megson. Joe also served as Director of Coaching for OFC from 2006–2012 and later as Vice President and Head of Soccer Operations at RSA before becoming RSA Director of Coaching in 2019. He brings decades of leadership, experience, and commitment to player development into the PDA environment.

Emad Osman
Emad Osman is a Division 1 NPSL coach currently leading a Girls U12 A team and entering his fifth year coaching within the league. A product of soccer in the Pacific Northwest, Emad played academy-level soccer growing up and was selected to Washington State ODP, experiences that continue to shape his understanding of player development and the pathway for young athletes.

Emad holds a U.S. Soccer C License and is committed to creating a player-centered environment emphasizing decision-making, game understanding, and confidence. His coaching focuses on developing intelligent, adaptable players through game-realistic training and guided discovery. Outside of coaching, Emad serves as an IT Program Manager at Seattle Children’s Hospital, leading complex initiatives focused on improving care and experiences for children and families. His work on and off the field reflects a passion for mentorship, development, and helping young people grow with confidence.

Ian McCallum
Ian McCallum is a seasoned soccer coach and Bainbridge Island FC’s longest-serving Director of Coaching, bringing more than 35 years of experience coaching in Scotland and across the United States. Originally from the Isle of Bute, Scotland, Ian has worked extensively across the college, high school, and club soccer landscape throughout the U.S. for more than 25 years.

Ian holds numerous coaching licenses and also serves as an instructor for United Soccer Coaches. Known for his commitment to coach education and player development, Ian believes resilience is central to long-term growth both on and off the field. Living in Poulsbo with his family, he continues to help shape players and coaches throughout the Pacific Northwest soccer community.

Dante Perez
Dante Perez is the founder of VLF Sports Performance, a training company dedicated to helping athletes unlock their full potential through expert soccer field training, goalkeeper development, and strength and conditioning. Through VLF, Dante works with many of the top goalkeepers in the area, helping athletes build the technical foundation, athletic tools, confidence, and discipline required to perform at higher levels.

Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, Dante grew up with a deep love for soccer and dedicated himself to mastering the game. His pathway took him to the prestigious Barça Academy in Arizona after high school before playing collegiate soccer at Seattle University and pursuing studies in sports and exercise science. Those experiences gave him firsthand insight into the commitment, specialized training, and performance habits required to compete at elite levels, and he brings that perspective into his work with PDA goalkeepers.
